Government to appoint 303 new Ayurvedic doctors

A total of 303 graduates, including medical officers of health, will be appointed to the Sri Lanka Ayurvedic Medical Service tomorrow (3) under the patronage of Health and Media Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa at the Colombo District Secretariat Auditorium. ‘Ratama Ekata’ operation: Over 3,300 arrested in three days

Massive fire erupts at Divulapitiya tyre factory (Video)

A fire broke out at a tyre manufacturing factory in the Horagasmulla area, Divulapitiya, earlier today. According to the Gampaha Fire Brigade, three fire trucks were dispatched to the scene to bring the blaze under control. Firefighters managed to douse the flames after several hours of operation. GCE A/L exam 2025 final timetable: 22 exam days

All preparations are underway to conduct the 2025 G.C.E. New hotline to report environmental damage launched

A new hotline, 1995, will be operational from tomorrow to enable the public to report any damage to Sri Lanka’s forests or environment, the Environment Ministry announced. The unit aims to strengthen forest and wildlife protection operations and curb environmental crimes. Information received will be relayed to security forces and officials from the Wildlife or Forest Conservation Departments for immediate action. Massive mid-sea drug haul: Rs. 5 billion narcotics found in fishing trawler
