A multi-day fishing trawler intercepted by the Sri Lanka Navy in deep sea waters off the western coast has been brought to the Dikkowita Harbour for further inspection. According to the Navy, the vessel was seized on suspicion of carrying narcotics. Subsequent investigations revealed that over 350 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine (‘Ice’) and heroin, valued at around Rs. 5 billion, were found on board.
