4 people were killed and several others injured in separate road accidents reported from Nittambuwa, Thalawa, Hettipola, and Puttalam on Saturday (Nov. 1), Police said. In Nittambuwa, a 61-year-old woman died after being struck by a motorcycle while crossing the Colombo–Kandy Road at Thihariya. The motorcyclist was admitted to the Wathupitiwala Hospital with injuries.
