Toyota to recall over 126,000 vehicles over engine stall risk

Toyota is recalling 126,691 Tundra and Lexus vehicles in the U.S. over manufacturing debris that may stall the engine, the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said on Thursday, Reuters reported. Above 75 mm of rain expected in some areas today

The prevailing rainy condition is expected to continue in the Northern and Eastern provinces due to the low-level atmospheric disturbance developing to the east of Sri Lanka, according to the Department of Meteorology.  As such, showers may occur at times in the Northern, North-central, Eastern and Uva provinces and in the Hambantota district today. Sri Lanka’s legal cigarette maker says sales down after latest tax hike

ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s Ceylon Tobacco Company said its volumes were down in the September 2025 quarter from a year ago, in the wake of higher taxes in 2025 which led to a price increase. Turnover grew to 52.79 billion rupees in the September quarter from 52.152 billion rupees last year, with taxes rising to 36.45 billion rupees from 36.22 billion rupees.
