The prevailing rainy condition is expected to continue in the Northern and Eastern provinces due to the low-level atmospheric disturbance developing to the east of Sri Lanka, according to the Department of Meteorology. As such, showers may occur at times in the Northern, North-central, Eastern and Uva provinces and in the Hambantota district today.
