Sri Lanka Police have requested the public not to visit unsafe and damaged locations, affected by inclement weather. A total of 159 persons are reported dead and 203 are reported missing due to inclement weather conditions in Sri Lanka. A landslide in the Reddapola area of Welimada late Saturday night led to the rescue of three foreign tourists who had been trapped, the Sri Lanka Army said. According to the Army, troops launched an urgent operation shortly after midnight on November 29 following a local alert about a group stranded by the landslide.
