A 41-year-old man died following an accident during a soft-ball cricket match at the Walagamba grounds in Aluthepola, Minuwangoda, today (Nov. 9), police said. The incident occurred when two fielders collided while attempting to catch a high ball. One player was critically injured and was admitted to the Minuwangoda Hospital, where he later died while receiving treatment. The deceased has been identified as a resident of Katuwallegama.
