Foreign worker remittances to Sri Lanka recorded a significant increase in 2025, according to the latest data released by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL). Remittances for September 2025 stood at USD 695.7 million, up from USD 555.6 million recorded in the same month last year. This marks a year-on-year growth of nearly 25%.
