A woman who attempted to enter the Avissawella Magistrate’s Court premises carrying a fake pistol has been remanded until November 4, following her arrest and court appearance today (28). According to reports, the woman, identified as Deepika Mudali Herath, also known as Lakshmi, was apprehended yesterday (27) after court security officers discovered what appeared to be a pistol inside her handbag during a routine inspection.
