The 78th session of the World Health Organization’s (WHO) Regional Committee for South-East Asia commenced in Colombo today (13), with Sri Lanka’s Minister of Health, Dr Nalinda Jayatissa, being elected as chairman. He will serve in this capacity for a period of one year. The three-day session, which will continue until the 15th, marks a significant event for Sri Lanka as host nation.
