The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) says that the disrupted water supply to several areas, including Dehiwala and Mount Lavinia, is expected to be restored by around midnight today. NWSDB Chairman Chandana Bandara said repair work is currently underway on the damaged pipeline, which is reported to be around 60 years old. The interruption occurred after a water pipeline on the main supply line from Ambatale to Dehiwala burst last night in the Battaramulla–Koswatta Pipe Road area. As a result, emergency water cuts were imposed in Moratuwa, Mount Lavinia, Kolonnawa, Rawatawatta, Soysapura, Ratmalana, Dehiwala, Wellawatte, Pamankada and Mulleriyawa.…
