Two suspects have been arrested for defrauding over Rs. 36 million by promising to provide Wi-Fi antennas to a private firm. According to the Police, the suspects had defrauded Rs. 36,989,684 from the private firm and had failed to deliver the products as promised. The duo were summoned to the Police Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID) to record statements yesterday, after which they were arrested. The arrested individuals are aged 34 and 37 years, and are residents of Mattakkuliya and Wattala.
