Education professionals have expressed their opposition to the government’s proposed education reforms, including the extension of school hours until 2:00 pm. Addressing the media yesterday (13), President of the Education Professionals’ Association, Venerable Ulapane Sumangala Thera, announced that an islandwide strike involving multiple trade unions is scheduled for December 12, demanding the withdrawal of these reforms.
