A teacher at a well-known school in Monaragala was hospitalized after being assaulted by a student on Wednesday morning. Hospital officials said the teacher, who sustained minor injuries, is currently receiving inpatient treatment at the Monaragala District General Hospital. According to reports, the incident occurred when the teacher questioned an 11th-grade student about bringing a mobile phone to school.
