Sri Lanka transfers Trincomalee land meant for vocational university to tourism project

ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s cabinet has approved the transfer of a land and constructions meant for a Kinniya University of Vocational Technology (UNIVOTEC) in Trincomalee, to the Ministry of Tourism, minister Nalinda Jayatissa said. The Kinniya education institution was to be built on a 12-acre land belonging to the Land Reform Commission in the Uparu Grama Niladhari Division of the Kinniya Divisional Secretariat in the Trincomalee District.
