ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s rupee closed at 308.00/20 to the US dollar in the spot market Friday, weaker from 308.05/15 the previous day, dealers said, while bond yields remained broadly steady. The rupee was quoted at 307.80/95 last Friday. A bond maturing on 15.12.2026 was quoted at 8.20/30 percent, down from 8.25/35 percent. A bond maturing on 15.02.2028 was quoted at 9.12/18 percent, up from 9.08/13 percent. A bond maturing on 15.09.2029 was quoted flat at 9.50/55 percent.
