ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s rupee closed at 309.05/15 to the US dollar in the spot market Friday, stronger from 308.80/90 the previous day, dealers said, while bond yields closed down. The rupee has depreciated week on week; when it was quoted at 308.55/65 last Friday. A bond maturing on 15.12.2026 closed flat at 8.30/40 percent. A bond maturing on 15.02.2028 closed at 8.95/9.00 percent, down from 9.05/10 percent. A bond maturing on 15.12.2029 closed at 9.42/47 percent, down from 9.50/55 percent.
