ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s rupee closed at 307.90/308.00 to the US dollar in the spot market Tuesday, after opening at 307.80/90, dealers said, while bond yields were broadly steady. A bond maturing on 15.03.2028 was quoted at 9.05/10 percent, up from 9.00/05 percent. A bond maturing on 15.12.2029 was quoted at 9.53/58 percent, up from 9.50/53 percent.
