Workers’ remittances to Sri Lanka surged to US dollars 8,076.2 million in 2025, up from US dollars 6,575.4 million in 2024, recording a strong year-on-year growth of 22.8 per cent. Tourist arrivals also increased during the year, reaching 2,362,521 in 2025 compared to 2,053,465 in 2024, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 15.1 per cent.
