Sri Lankan athletes have secured medals in two ongoing international tournaments, the Asian Youth Games 2025 in Bahrain and the South Asian Athletics Championship 2025 in India. At the Asian Youth Games 2025 in Bahrain, Sri Lanka has obtained a total of one gold medal and three bronze medals so far. On Friday (24), Shanuka Costa of Gateway College, Colombo, clocked 47.72 seconds to secure the bronze medal in the boys’ 400 metres.
