ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka ex-President Ranil Wickremesinghe was ordered to be present in court on January 28, 2025 by court, at a hearing on Wednesday. President Wickremesinghe is on bail as police investigate allegation of mis-appropriation of state property over visit to a UK university on his way back from attending a UN meeting. Wickremesinghe arrived in court for Wednesday’s hearing accompanied by his wife, Maithree, a professor.
