ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka average coconut prices at a weekly auction fell 5 percent for the third consecutive week, Coconut Development Authority (CDA) data showed. The average price for 1,000 nuts was 128,060 rupees last week. CDA has declined to divulge the highest and the lowest price for a nut at the the auction from July 19. The number of nuts offered declined to 302,679 from 361,926 a week earlier, while nuts sold dropped to 214,469 from 272,939.
