The Supreme Court of Sri Lanka has dismissed a fundamental rights petition filed by former Minister Rajitha Senaratne against MP Rohitha Abeygunawardena. In his petition, Rajitha Senaratane had sought to invalidate the election of Rohitha Abeygunawardena as a Member of Parliament for the Kalutara District at the last General Election. When the case was heard today (30), the Court issued its ruling rejecting the petition after a review of submissions from both parties.
