Public Support Sought in ATM Card Fraud Investigation

The Sri Lanka Police are seeking public assistance to apprehend a serial ATM card fraud suspect believed to be operating across various parts of the island. The appeal follows a recent incident reported at the Kalutara South Police Station where a man was defrauded of LKR 200,000. The victim, a resident of Jayanthipura, Polonnaruwa, filed a complaint stating that on August 19, 2025, he approached an ATM in Kalutara city to withdraw cash.
