The Nugegoda Police Crimes Division has taken into custody a pistol found in the possession of former Member of Parliament Uditha Lokubandara during the joint opposition rally held in Nugegoda on November 21. Police said investigations are currently underway to determine the legality of the firearm and whether it was carried or used in accordance with existing laws. Authorities have not disclosed further details regarding the circumstances under which the weapon was seized.
