A police constable was remanded until October 13 after allegedly assaulting an Attorney-at-Law within the premises of the Mount Lavinia Magistrate’s Court this morning (10). The incident reportedly occurred after the lawyer concluded a court appearance and attempted to drive his vehicle out of the court premises. A prison bus had arrived at the same time, and the police officer had instructed the lawyer to wait until the bus entered before moving his car out.
