A police constable attached to the Delwala Police Station has been seriously injured and admitted to hospital after being dragged by a car whose occupants attempted to evade a police inspection. The incident occurred when a team of police officers tried to inspect a vehicle following information that a suspect with outstanding warrants was inside. When officers ordered the driver to stop, the vehicle suddenly accelerated in defiance of police instructions.
