A 53-year-old passenger died after falling from the front footboard of a private bus traveling from Thummulla toward Kirulapone on Tuesday evening (Oct. 14), police said. The accident occurred near the BRC Grounds on Havelock Road, within the Bambalapitiya Police Division. The victim was rushed to the Kalubowila Hospital but was pronounced dead upon admission due to critical injuries. Police said the deceased was a resident of Bandaragama.
