The Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) says a total of 3,469 Sri Lankan youth have departed for employment opportunities in South Korea during the course of 2025. The SLBFE said in a statement that a group of 77 qualified individuals, including 2 women, left for jobs in South Korea’s manufacturing sector on November 11. These employment opportunities are facilitated under the E-9 visa category, based on a bilateral agreement between the SLBFE and the Human Resources Development Service of Korea.
