New order on Namal’s Krrish case

The Colombo High Court today (26) directed its registrar to obtain and submit the initial case record from the Fort Magistrate’s Court in connection with the ‘Krrish transaction’ case filed against SLPP MP Namal Rajapaksa. The case was taken up before High Court Judge Nadee Aparna Suwandurugoda, with Rajapaksa personally appearing in court.  President’s Counsel Sampath Mendis, appearing for Rajapaksa, told the court that some of the requested documents had not yet been provided by the prosecution, stressing that these were vital for a fair trial.
