The National Building Research Organization (NBRO) has issued an ‘amber’ landslide alert for areas where rainfall in the past 24 hours has exceeded 100 mm. During this Landslide Early Warning period, residents should watch for pre-landslide signs, including cracks in the ground or buildings, ground subsidence, slanting trees or posts, sudden appearance of springs or muddy water, and blockage or disappearance of existing springs.
