The Sri Lankan Police says the live hand grenades found in Modara yesterday were linked to investigations into several suspects in hiding with around 100 live hand grenades. According to the Police, a suspect with a T-56 firearm was arrested by the Kiribathgoda Police recently. Subsequent investigations led to the arrest of two other suspects with 86 live hand grenades in the Settikulam area in Vavuniya.
