Former President Maithripala Sirisena appeared before the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) on Monday (13) to provide a statement related to an alleged financial fraud. Sirisena remained at the Commission for approximately five hours, recording the statement. He was summoned in connection with a financial irregularity reported to have occurred about 15 years ago at an institution affiliated with the Sri Lanka Freedom Party.
