Former Presidents Mahinda Rajapaksa and Maithripala Sirisena have requested the return of vehicles previously provided for their security, Public Security Minister Ananda Wijepala said. The minister noted that if returning the vehicles were to affect their security in any way, there is a possibility for the vehicles to be returned to them. He added that the request has already been submitted to the Threat Assessment Committee under the Ministry of Public Security, and actions will be taken according to the committee’s decision.
