The Department of Meteorology says a fresh low-pressure area is likely to form over the southeast Bay of Bengal around November 22. It further stated that the low-pressure area may intensify further and is likely to move near the northern coast of Sri Lanka. As such, several spells of showers are expected in the Northern, North-central provinces, and the Trincomalee district.
