Kehelbaddara Padme’s mother files writ petition

The mother of alleged underworld figure Kehelbaddara Padme has filed a writ petition before the Court of Appeal, challenging the detention order issued against her son. The petition claims the detention is unlawful and seeks relief through habeas corpus and the writ jurisdiction of the court. She has also requested an interim order to prevent her son from being transferred out of the custody of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to any other location until the final determination of the case.
