An event to hand over housing ownership to hill country plantation community will be held tomorrow (12) at the Bandarawela Public Grounds under the patronage of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake. Under the fourth phase of the Indian-funded housing project for 10,000 houses, ownership of 2,000 houses will be awarded to beneficiaries during the event. Implemented jointly by the Governments of Sri Lanka and India, the project aims to improve the living standards of the plantation community.
