Four youngsters from Kiribathgoda were reported missing after being swept away while bathing in the Deduru Oya this afternoon, police said. A group of ten had reportedly been on a leisure outing when the incident occurred. One person was rescued and admitted to the Chilaw Hospital for treatment. Search operations carried out by the Chilaw Police, the Police Life Saving Unit, the Navy, and local residents have since recovered the bodies of the four victims.
