Minister of Public Security Ananda Wijepala says the government has decided to provide Rs. 500,000 per household to address housing damage caused by the disaster situation, without conducting individual damage assessments. He made these remarks while speaking at an awareness programme on the “Praja Shakthi” initiative held at the Kobeigane Divisional Secretariat.
