Gold prices in Sri Lanka have dropped by nearly Rs. 60,000 since last Friday (17), it was reported. According to local gold merchants, a price drop of around Rs. 20,000 has been recorded today (22) alone. The price of a 22-carat sovereign has dropped from Friday’s rate of Rs. 379,200 to Rs. 322,000 at the Colombo Pettah gold market.
