The Director of Education for the North Central Province has decided to suspend the school principal who was recently arrested with a large quantity of heroin in Anuradhapura. Accordingly, the principal of a school in Eppawala has been interdicted with immediate effect. In an official letter addressed to the principal, the Director stated that, based on findings submitted by the Anuradhapura Division Criminal Investigation Unit, the individual is alleged to have committed an offence under the establishments code, warranting immediate suspension from duty.
