ECONOMYNEXT – Cyclone Ditwah has killed 35,000 cattle and 2,000 pigs in Sri Lanka, Director of the Department of Animal Husbandry and Health K K Sarath said. Sri Lanka has a herd around two million head of cattle Sarath said speaking on Sri Lanka’s Newsfirst television. Sri Lanka’s pig farms were just recovering from a African Swine fever epidemic.
