The Court of Appeal ruled that the directives issued by the Returning Officers of the Kekirawa and Galnewa Pradeshiya Sabhas, requiring all nominated members of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) to be women, are arbitrary, irrational and unreasonable.
