Jaffna District MP Ramanathan Archchuna, who was arrested earlier today (29), has been granted bail by the Fort Magistrate’s Court. MP Ramanathan Archchuna was released on two sureties of Rs. 01 million each, after he was produced in court today. Commenting on his arrest, a senior Police official said the Jaffna MP had been taken into custody under four charges. Speaking to the media, the Police official said MP Archchuna was arrested in connection with the incident of allegedly disturbing Police duty by forcibly parking his vehicle in front of the Fort Railway Station during a protest on 22 September. …
