Construction work on a new Material Recovery Facility in the Wariyapola area commenced yesterday (09), under the “Clean Sri Lanka” National Programme as part of the government’s measures to formalize waste management across the country. According to the President’s Office, the new facility, which will be established on land belonging to the Wariyapola Pradeshiya Sabha, is estimated to cost Rs. 33 million.
