The Colombo–Kandy main road will be temporarily closed from Lower Kadugannawa with effect from 10.00 pm tonight (26) due to the risk of rockfalls, the Disaster Management Centre (DMC) announced. The DMC said the decision was taken following assessments that identified a potential threat of falling rocks in the area, posing a serious risk to motorists and pedestrians.
