Extreme weather : DMC official figures says 69 deaths reported in 04 days

The death toll due to the inclement weather conditions experienced in Sri Lanka stands at 69 persons in 08 districts during the four day period from 26 to 29 November 2025. According to the Disaster Management Centre (DMC), 30 individuals were reported dead in the Badulla District, 02 in the Monaragala District, and 03 in the Kurunegala district. President oversees ongoing rescue of Kala Oya Bus Passengers

20 passengers in the bus that was caught in a flash flood in Rajanganaya have been safely rescued, while operations to rescue the remaining passengers are still underway, the Navy Spokesperson said.
