Cache of hidden war-time weapons found in Vakarai

A stock of weapons suspected to have been hidden by the LTTE during the war was found in the Sambu Kalapuwa area of Vakarai during a search operation. According to the Police, a team of officers from the STF Vakarai camp carried out the search operation under an order obtained from the Valachchenai Magistrate’s Court.  The operation was conducted by a group of STF officers, including the Regional Commanding Officer (Trincomalee).
