Sri Lanka rupee depreciates further, bond yields edge down on mid-tenors

ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s rupee closed at 310.05/15 to the US dollar in the spot market Wednesday, weaker from 310.00/10 the previous day, dealers said, while bond yields edged down on the 2028s and 2029s. A bond maturing on 15.12.2026 closed flat at 8.50/60 percent. A bond maturing on 15.12.2028 closed at 9.20/27 percent, down from 9.20/30 percent.
