Three Indian nationals were arrested at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) with 50 kilograms of Kush cannabis, Sri Lanka Customs said. The narcotics, valued at Rs. 500 million, were seized by officers of the Customs Narcotics Control Unit. The suspects, aged between 25 and 31, arrived at 11:07 a.m. on SriLankan Airlines flight UL 403 from Bangkok. Preliminary investigations revealed that the individuals had been offered a trip to Bangkok in exchange for smuggling the drugs.
